Hunger can be physical. But the greatest hunger today is related to spiritual hunger. We are living in a day of near famine. It would seem that more than sufficient food is in nearly every home, but the occupants seem to not open the pantry where the food is. The Word of God lays on the book shelf, in the drawer, and most obviously sometimes in plain sight in the most commonly used room. The Bible has all the answers to all the problems known to mankind. But to benefit from these truths, one must read the Bible, meditate upon the new found knowledge, even study it. God does not serve up TV dinners. One has to treat it like old fashioned cooking from scratch in the kitchen. It takes work to obtain its nourishment. But when the effort is made, OH! what a difference it makes in the lives of those who do what is necessary.
